PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS

HON. EDIONAR MEJORADA ZAMORAS is fondly called by his friends and avid listeners as “LOLOY KOLOKOY” over his number one Radio Program “MR. KASAYURAN” and “Banay ni Loloy Kolokoy” aired daily over DXFL–FM. He was born on December 5, 1955 at Manawan, Jose Dalman, Zamboanga del Norte. He graduated his elementary education in Manawan Elementary School and continued his secondary education at the Zamboanga del Norte School of Arts and Trade (ZNSAT), Dipolog City. Because of financial constraint that his parents could not afford to send him to college education, Hon. Zamoras decided to work as Janitor of DXKD. Although he only received little allowance out of his janitorial services, he managed to enroll in college with the help of his uncle Atty. Uldarico B. Mejorada. Due to his dedication to work, friendly, honest, hardworking and down to earth guy, DXKD management decided to hire him as a regular janitor in 1977 and later, he was given a break by some DXKD Announcers to do some short programming especially on giving early morning jokes. At first, he was hesitant to do the job but because of his strong determination to earn a living and to have professional growth, he accepted the challenge and that was a break that brought him to the world of Radio Broadcasting.

            He was given by DXKD Management regular programming in mid 1978 up to 1995. His political career came by persistent demand of his friends and several Dipolognons from all walks of life. He started as Barangay Captain of Barangay Miputak, Dipolog City in 1990 and got elected as City Councilor of Dipolog for three consecutive terms from 1992 to 2001. In 2001 elections, he run as Provincial Board Member of the province of Zamboanga del Norte but failed. After a break of 3 years in his political career, he decided again to run as board Member in the 2004 elections, this time, he was elected number 1 Board Member in the 2^nd District of the province of Zamboanga del Norte.

            Today, aside from his regular task as legislator and representative of the 2^nd District, this province, Honorable Edionar Mejorada Zamoras enjoyed his life as block timer Radio Announcer of DXFL–FM and happily married to Emilia Acevedo Zamoras blessed with 5 children. His ambition in life is to have a simple and promising life, and be able to help those who are less fortunate.
