The Chief at a Glance
Brief Personal Profile of
Gov. Rolando E. Yebes
An epitome of a dynamic
public servant, serving the government for 27 years with no
derogatory records that is Governor Rolando E. Yebes of
Zamboanga del Norte. A father of 4 and a trustworthy friend
of everybody.
“Lando” as what
commonly called by his friends is a man of honor and
dedication. He has spent his elementary years in Miputak
Elementary School and spent his secondary education in
Saint Vincent’s College
with honors and went on to study his college education at
the University of San Jose Recolletos in Cebu City and
completed his AB Political Science course and pursued his
Bachelor of Laws at the same school.
After admitted to
the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) he started a low
profile position at the Bureau of Customs and rose from
there to become one of the Commissions bemedalled district
collector.
After his stint at
the Bureau he set his aim at the political arena armed only
with honesty and integrity. He successfully projected
himself as a person not as a politician, his visions and
missions in governance anchored on a principle ‘Above All
The People’, and after winning the election he immediately
started to let the people feel of his good intentions by
creating programs that truly redounds to the aspirations of
the people.
Now the governor is
busy criss-crossing the hinterlands of Zamboanga del Norte
from the far-away Sibuco to the mountain ranges of Fimagas,
a once notorious haven of the NPA front BBC (Big Beautiful
Country) to bring in services and programs of the provincial
government closer to the people, once denied by these
precious government programs.
He brought TLC (Tabang
ni Lando sa Communidad) and IMP (Indigent Mapping Program)
to remote barangays of Siocon, Sirawai, Baliguian and Sibuco
and to the hinterlands of Katipunan, Sindangan, Siayan, Jose
Dalman, Roxas and Manukan.
While goat
dispersal, fish seeding and vegetable seeds distribution
were hastened at the agricultural centers of the 1st
district in the province. He is incessant in implementing
his programs, the hard working chief is on the path of
poverty reduction – the centerpiece of his governance. |
