Zamboanga del Norte : Municipality of Polanco

HISTORY

Polanco officially became into a municipality on August 22, 1951 by virtue of an Executive Order No. 467 signed by the then president of the Republic of the Philippines, His Excellency Elpidio Quirino. The municipality however, was formally inaugurated as a municipality on December 8, 1952. From then on, starting from the first appointed officials and every elected officials thereafter always lead in bringing prosperity to the people and development to the area. Today the 9th and newly elected Municipal Mayor, ViCe Mayor and ten (10) Sangguniang Bayan members lead in the delivery of basic services to the people and are joining hands for a progressive development of the municipality.
